To help understand the importance of communication in the international workplace and the need to improve the English level in your company, Educational Testing Service (ETS) and Ipsos Public Affairs recently conducted a global survey of multi-national companies in 13 countries to assess their perspective on business challenges to global expansion.
The survey investigated key questions about using English to achieve world communication and enable global business goals. In total, 749 senior human relations professionals at large multinational companies were surveyed. These individuals have a unique perspective of issues related to the use of English in the workplace and future needs in the marketplace. Their responses shed a light on specific areas where English language skills are needed and desired and why it is important to improve the level of English if companies want to be competitive in a global market.
